On Thursday, August 30, 2012, the USS Midway Museum will host its 6th Annual Midway American Patriot Award Gala, celebrating the Centennial of Marine Corps Aviation. In observance of the Centennial, the Midway will pay tribute to two renowned Marine Corps veterans and acclaimed American heroes, former California Governor Pete Wilson and Baseball Hall of Fame Sportscaster Jerry Coleman.
The Honorary Chairs of this black-tie ceremony will be Malin and Roberta Burnham, and its Gala Chair Connie Conard. The elegant evening will also feature fabulous entertainment and a surprise celebrity (to be announced soon). Event net proceeds benefit the DJO Global "No Child Left Ashore" Scholarship Fund, our onboard K-8 education program. The innovative, hands-on program teaches science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) to students K-12.
